Hello Rawang (hellorawang.my) is a local business directory for Rawang, Selangor. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

What we collect

• Login details — your email address or your mobile number. If you log in with WhatsApp, WhatsApp tells us the number you sent the login code from.
• Profile — your name and phone number (optional), which you enter yourself.
• Business listings — business name, contact numbers, address, opening hours, description, photos and products that owners add. This information is public on the website.
• Messages and reviews — messages you send to businesses through the site, and reviews you post (reviews show your name publicly).
• Payments — when a business pays for Featured or a banner, Billplz handles the payment. We keep the amount, plan, date and a reference; we never see or store card or bank login details.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security (for example stopping spam and too many login attempts) and simple visit counts.

How we use it

• To log you in and keep your account secure.
• To show business listings and let visitors contact businesses.
• To deliver messages between visitors and businesses, and send you notifications about them.
• To process payments and send receipts.
• To keep the directory accurate and safe (reviewing new listings, removing spam or abuse).

We do not sell your personal information.

Services we use

Some information is handled by trusted providers only to run the site:

• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — for WhatsApp login messages.
• Email / SMS providers — to send login codes and notifications.
• Billplz — online payments (FPX / card).
• Google AdSense — shows adverts on some public pages. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
• Our web host — stores the website and its database in a secure data centre.

Cookies

We use a small login cookie to keep you signed in and remember your language. Google AdSense may set its own advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works, but you will need to log in again.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and listings while your account is active. Login codes expire within 15 minutes and are deleted after use. Payment records are kept for up to 7 years for accounting. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. You can edit your profile and listings yourself at any time from your dashboard. For anything else, WhatsApp us.

How to delete your account and data

1. WhatsApp us from the phone number or email you log in with, and write “Delete my account”.
2. We confirm it is you, then delete your account, profile, listings, products, messages and reviews within 30 days.
3. We send you a confirmation when it is done.

If you logged in with WhatsApp, deleting your account also deletes the phone number we received from WhatsApp.

Children

Hello Rawang is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
